Narcos and Kingsman: The Golden Circle star Pedro Pascal has joined the cast of the Wonder Woman sequel. The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision reports the news and adds that Pascal is reuniting with director Patty Jenkins, the two having previously worked together on the TV movie Exposed.
Gal Gadot is returning to play the title character in Wonder Woman 2, while Kristen Wiig is on board to play the villain of the piece, Cheetah. There aren’t too many details on the storyline for the highly anticipated sequel, but we do know that the follow-up will be set in the 1980s against the backdrop of the Cold War.

Wonder Woman was one of the highest grossing movies of 2017, grossing a huge $821 million around the world. Pascal took to Twitter to share his excitement.

Pascal will also be seen in The Equalizer 2 and then the in-production Netflix film Triple Frontier.
Wonder Woman 2 will be released in 2019.
